Farm Heroes Super Saga

For the launch of Farm Heroes Super Saga I wanted to give it a unique look and play of the silliness of the characters once they got in peculiar situations that they needed to overcome by becoming bigger.
Breakdown of the process
The look development process of Plum was the starting point, It was the first video I knew we needed to deliver so once we nailed the look on her we could establish it on all of them
Here are some various paint overs I did for asset and look development. I usually have continuous communication throughout projects and do hands on as well
Once the videos started to near their deadlines I felt that something was missing. We didn’t have any impact, so I took it upon myself to do some 2D FX animation to enhance the effect.
I wanted to have more of a dawn lighting scenario in the launch video to stand out from the others. And Rancid needed to have his own treatment due to being the only character in fur. This is a bit of the process in which I gave feedback on what I wanted to achieve.
The only storyboard I did, I was able to do this one since it was so simple and the idea was already approved. So I drew these to use as a starting ground for the look dev process.
These were the frames that I together with the great folks at Mindbender did that set the style for the rest of the campaign. Once these were approved we could apply the pipeline on all other shots that were in the making.
